‘My first impressions were of a very nice, old country residence that was converted to the highest standards. The whole family made all of us feel at home immediately. The quality of all our meals was superb. There was a beautiful serenity about the estate and it imparted a great sense of tranquility and peace. I loved it very much.’

‘Stayed here while researching my father’s war experiences. We loved this place, the welcome, the surroundings, and the owners could not have been more helpful. We are recommending it to everyone we know, and will surely come again.’

‘Breakfasts were spectacular: fresh bread and fruit; eggs laid only hours before by the farm’s hens. Our hostess, Sinéad Allart, was very knowledgeable about all of the regional sights and sites. She helped us book ferry reservations on-line for a day trip to Guernsey Island, and she made excellent recommendations about what to see in and around the Cherbourg Peninsula. La Blonderie is close to the D-Day invasion beaches, the American Cemetery at Colleville sur Mer, and Ste. Mére Église (a little over a half-hour away). La Blonderie was a fine headquarters for our visit to Normandy.’

‘As part of my business trips, when I have to go to Normandy, I am used to stay at La Blonderie. This place was recommended to me by a colleague, and now La Blonderie is definitely the place where I prefer to stay and where I feel best. Sinéad is very welcoming and warm, and she cares about the well being of her guests. She is always available and gives good advices concerning good restaurants not to be missed, or concerning interesting places to visit in the region. She has decorated the guest rooms and the cottage with great taste, and she has thought of every detail to ensure the comfort of her guests. Moreover, the place is very charming and close to nature. In the morning, when I go to work, I particularly appreciate the view, which seems to have been taken from a fairytale, as you can see a beautiful white horse in the field, standing in the middle of the morning mist… And in the evening, when I go back from work, and when it is already dark, I look up and I admire the beautiful starry sky, which will delight fans of astronomy! When I go to Normandy, although I am far from home, staying at La Blonderie is like feeling a little at home…’

‘My husband and sister enjoyed a wonderful stay at Le Blonderie, tucked away in a beautiful corner of France in the real French countryside – our host Sinead is so warm and friendly and a wonderful cook while Le Blonderie itself is set in gorgeous countryside near the sea, markets, unspoilt villages, and some famous spots not far away if the tourist mode comes upon you. But the best part is just the beauty of the farmhouse buildings accommodation, the peace, the gracious hosts and local french shopkeepers, artisans, cafe owners, etc… a little piece of France in a wonderful corner of Normandy. Parfait!’
